WATER: In Its Fourth Phase, the poetic state
2024 Installation
Church of King Charles the Martyr, Falmouth
An exploration into the agency of matter (specifically water) and the cultural influence of biblical theology on the imagination.
A sound installation created in collaboration with musicians (see below). Seated in the central pews, listeners are greeted by a light that obscures visual expectations. From a surround sound system, individual musical expressions play. These have been inspired by biblical representations of the element water - using this culturally significant text as a key to the poetic understandings of matter.
A sonic manifestation of water.
